Description

Join AIA Colorado South on Wednesday, May 14, from noon - 1 p.m., for Renewable Energy Space and Water Heating for Homes and Small Commercial Buildings, an Eat+Educate presented by SolarLogic LLC. The program will be held at the Penrose Library Carnegie Reading Room (20 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80903).

Attendees can earn 1.0 AIA HSW continuing education Learning Unit (LU). Under the state of Colorado's rules for continuing education for state licensure renewal, this program should meet the requirements for 1.0 HSW CEH.

Renewable energy space and water heating must be thought of from the beginning as an integral part of building design. Starting from this principle, the presenters will elaborate on the imperative facing architects to design buildings for a sustainable society. They will elucidate the concept of use of the primary loop in hydronic heating, which allows for the easy integration of renewable energy at the time of construction or at a future date. The presenters will also discuss the role of control systems in energy performance and system monitoring, and the online measurement and adjustment capabilities now available. Colorado and regional residential and small commercial case studies will be discussed.

This program is free for all AIA Colorado South members and lunch will be provided by SolarLogic LLC.

Registration is required. Register by Monday, May 12, at 4 p.m.
